Reports to: Facility In-charge

Job Purpose
Perform the task as pharmacist for the COVID-19 clinic under the supervision of Facility In-charge.

Qualification and work experience:
The Pharmacist should be a holder of Diploma/Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution; he/she should have an experience of at least 1 year in the field of expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 
    • Make sure that the storage and dispensing area is clean, safe and conforms to laws governing pharmacy and pharmaceuticals.
    • Project consumption estimates for each drug item on monthly basis.
    • Make order of drugs from main store of your respective district store according to anticipated Monthly requirements by filling authorized tools i.e. ordering and requisition voucher.
    • Receives deliveries and counterchecks and sign off all drug deliveries.
    • Keep records of all receipts and issues. Maintain bin card for each item and keep a running balance
 
  • Store, distribute and control the stock and ensures uninterrupted supply of drugs at all times by ensuring Max-Min stock level of 2/1 Month at all times.
  • Redistribute the nearly expiring drugs to sites that can consume them before the expiring dates.
  • Controls and separate immediately the damaged and expired drugs from the shelves/cupboard and keeps all set aside for destruction.
  • Monitor prescriptions from dully authorized prescribers for appropriateness and discrepancies.
  • Dispense/refill all prescriptions.
  • Provide medication adherence counselling to patients.
  • Maintain records of all drugs issued to patients to dispensing register, paper based and or software.
  • Prepare and submit Monthly drugs consumption report which includes stock level and number of patients  
  • Provide drugs information to patients including other member of the clinical staff
  • Maintains confidentiality and keeps patient information and records secure
  • Do any other duties as may be assigned by the site manager.

Salary

Registered Nurses (10 Positions)

Job brief

The position holder will work closely with diverse teams to formulate and implement specific activities in the annual work plan for the Network in accordance to ‘WE CARE’ AfriCovid Project contractual obligations and internal policies and procedures. This project will be conducted in 7 regions across Tanzania Mainland (Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Mbeya, Dodoma and Shinyanga)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
  • Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
  • Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety
  • Provide instant medical care in emergencies
  • Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
  • Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops about COVID19, conferences etc.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a registered nurse
  • BSc Nursing or  diploma  from a recognized institution 
  • Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency care
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times

Program Managers – Vaccination Project (10 Positiions)

The Program Managers will serve as the AfriCOVID International  Regional Focal Point, reporting to the General  national coordinator

Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, the Program Managers will be responsible for the following duties:

•Monitors, analyzes and reports on Operational activities, management or emergency situations for AfriCOVID International

•Manages AfriCOVID International Emergency Response related activities, including organizing and delivery of regional emergency response exercises and training events, oversees and supports the management of teams in the region.

•Partners with other humanitarian agencies to plan and evaluate humanitarian and emergency assistance programmes and help ensure that latest findings, lessons learned, policy guidelines, etc. are incorporated into these activities, including gender-related considerations.

•Assists in the production of appeals for international assistance; ensures the proper use and spending of donor contributions

Education

  • A university degree in political science, social science, international studies, public administration, economics, engineering, earth sciences or any diploma/degree from any recognized institutions 
  • A minimum of one year of progressively responsible experience in operations affairs, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief management, rehabilitation, development, or other related area, is required.
  • Humanitarian experience in the field (actual setting where a mission and/or project is being implemented) in emergency situations (complex emergency or natural disaster) is required.

Remuneration will be in line with the set procedures of the organizations which consider the experience and qualifications of the candidate (USD 1000-2500)

Position: Community Outreach Program Managers (10 Positions)

The Outreach Program Manager is responsible for oversight and coordination of all aspects of AfriCOVID International’s outreach programs and is responsible for planning and organizing events and/or meetings for the
organization. The Outreach Program Manager works with the Director of Workforce and Outreach,
Chief Executive Officer, and partner organizations to strategize, plan, and implement effective special
events to educate the community on COVID19 Crisis and precautions measures 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are
not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Manage outreach staff and activities
    Act as lead event planner and onsite coordinator for CRHC events
  • Coordinate all activities and lead event committees
  • Draft banquet orders
  • Venue/date selection and venue contract negotiations
  • Monitor event budget, ensuring sponsorship exhibitor and registration goals are met – while
    management event expenditures
  • Coordinate all onsite activities, including set-up, staffing, programming, relationship
    building/cultivation, and act as the primary authorized representative
  • Create event staffing plan and assign individual staff responsibilities. Draft scripts for all general
    session speaking responsibilities.
  • Oversee logistical arrangements for all AfriCOVID International events including Workshop
  • Update the event prospectus and complete sponsorship applications
  • Coordinate conference program development
  • Develop event promos and oversee event marketing efforts
  • Oversee development of conference layout

Education
