40 Job Opportunities at Tunduma Town Council Tunduma is a town in Songwe Region, Tanzania, on the border between Tanzania and Zambia It is also the junction for the tarmac road which runs via Sumbawanga through the remote far-western districts of Tanzania to Kasulu and Kibondo in the north-west. According to the 2012 census, it has a population of 97,562.

Tunduma Town is located southwest of the Songwe region, between latitudes 9003 ‘and 9023’ south of Equator and distances 32038 ‘and 320054’. The city council is located 1400 to 1650 meters from sea level and receives an average rainfall of 1350-1550 mm per year. It is located 30 km from Songwe Regional Headquarters, the Council borders Ileje District to the East, the Republic of Zambia and Momba District to the West, and Mbozi District to the North. Tunduma Town Council is located in Momba District and was established by GN No. 378 where it was officially launched on July 1, 2015, with 420 square kilometers. The Council has 1 constituency (Tunduma State), Division 1, 15 Wards, and 71 Streets.

The Director of Tunduma Town Council is announcing to all citizens 40 contract vacancies for the work of Revenue Collectors. 

REVENUE COLLECTORS (POSITION 40)

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect Internal Revenue from the Council using electronic machine Revenue Collection (POS)
• Ensure that the money collected is sent to the bank on time
• Ensuring that all Revenue to be collected by the Council is collected correctly

 QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT

Employed with education from Form Four onwards who have understanding of using a smartphone , because all Government revenue is collected by using Electronic Revenue Service (POS) machines that contain application similar to smartphone.

CONDITIONS OF APPLICANTS IN THIS WORK

• Must be a citizen of Tanzania, Age from 21 years
• All applicants must attach a birth certificate
• Applicants should attach a detailed personal information (Detailed CV) containing trusted addresses and phone numbers as well as two Names of sponsors (Referees) with their correct addresses and phone numbers.
• The application must be accompanied by a copy of all professional certificates of applicant
• Be ready to be assigned any revenue collection center within the City of Tunduma
• Be honest in collecting government revenue and ensuring the funds of the government is not lost.
• Be willing to obey and follow the instructions he will be given without breaking the principles of Council by-laws.
