Search for Common Ground (Search) is a world-wide Non-Profit Organization with the primary objective
to change the way the world deals with conflict, away from adversarial approaches towards collaborative
Solutions.
Search has been working in Kenya since 2008, when we launched the award-winning series The Team. Our work has focused on overcoming ethnic, political, social and cultural divides, furthering constructive interaction and healthy relationships between civil society and key government actors, and transforming violent Conflict.
In this call, Search is seeking to produce Radio content in Kiswahili, sensitizing the community on peace and love in the times of covid-19 Pandemic.
The radio episodes will have an objective of:
Enabling Effective and Conflict-Sensitive Responses to COVID-19 to Protect Social Cohesion in Fragile Contexts in Tanzania, considering:
1. Demystifying myths around Covid19 disease
2. Inspiring hope to vulnerable communities in the covid19 context
3. Show best practices in copying with Covid19 fears and uncertainties
4. Using satire to share key information on Covid19 prevention.
5. Supporting the government response on Covid19
The projects will be implemented in Mtwara and areas around. The selected Radio Station will need to deliver:
1. Production 24 episodes of 45 minutes each
2. Airing of episode on weekly basis and its recaps for 5 months
3. Submitting media Log and report after every episode aired
4. Posting program adverts and jingles on social medias
Requirements and Deadline
- Radio Partner who are interested and qualified may submit their quote, including their experience, and programs and partners they've been working with through the link on Lever
- Bids will not be accepted after the deadline.
- Bids must be sent in TZS currency.
- Bids can be submitted on Lever only. Please indicate 'Bid Search Kenya Radio' in the subject line

Evaluation Criteria
An internal committee will assess the bids received, on the basis of:
1) Proven track record producing high-quality programs for a national and international audience;
2) prior experience producing TV and Radio programs for international NGOs in Tanzania;
3) Knowledge of the target locations and value for money;
4) Shortest delivery date.
As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities.
